Scrappy Holiday

I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! We are going to a friend's house so I don't have to worry about cooking or decorating. With Turkey Day covered, I can turn my attention to Christmas. I know its early, but I love Christmas and I have so many ideas for decorations, activities for the kids, handmade gifts etc. This week's Iron Craft Challenge, create something handmade for the holidays,  gave me an excuse to start my Christmas crafting early.

I was inspired by this image I found on Pinterest.

To make mine, I used an embroidery hoop I had left over from this project and l scraps of red and green fabric and ribbon that I had in my stash. I cut the fabric into 1 inch wide x 5 inch long strips and tied them to the hoop. I topped it off with a gingham print ribbon. I plan to add a little bird to mine to but haven't gotten to it yet. I won't be hanging the wreath until December, but when I do its going on the back door in my kitchen.
