Because Pictures Need Captions

I am working on the decorations for a baby shower and I am using napkins with this on it as my inspiration. I'll post pics of all of the decor next week.  In the mean time, I thought you might like a sneak peek. One element of the decor (the menu item displays) are doing double duty - at the end of the shower they will go home with the guests as favors.

Guests can put whatever pictures they want into the frames and add their own captions, like this:

These were super easy and economical to make. To make your own you'll need the following:

Unfinished frames (I got mine for $1 at Michaels), scrapbooking paper (1 sheet per frame), Mode Podge, a paint brush, scissors, pen or pencil, glue, and mini paper clips (I got mine here).

Step 1: Remove insert from frame and trace inside and outside onto the back of the scrapbooking paper.
Step 2: Cut out the traced image.
Step 3: Apply a thin coating of Modge Podge to the front of the frame with a paint brush.
Step 4: Line up the paper with the fame and smooth it on to the Modge Podged surface. Use your paint brush to apply a coat of Modge Podge to the top of the paper. Some bubbles may appear, but they will smooth out as the paper dries.
Step 5: Glue on the clothes pins. I used clear Tacky glue and let it dry over night.

I basically set up an assembly line and was able to make six frames while watching TV one evening. Cute huh? Have you done anything fun with Modge Podge lately? Oh, and what do you think about my slightly snarky baby shower inspiration.
