Presents bought, stockings hung, house decorated, cookies baked, and table set. Today I completed the last of my Christmas preparations, setting the table for Christmas dinner. I set out to make a new set of six festive place mats and napkins this year (instructions to be posted in the new year), but due to a cutting error ended up with five. This wouldn't have really mattered, as last week we invited three additional guests to dinner for a new total of eight. I decided to use my new place mats and napkins anyway and mixed in silver chargers, a couple of white napkins, and one festive paper napkin for Elliot. I made eight napkin rings with fabric scraps to tie it all together. The flower arrangement consists of white hydrangeas, red hypericum berries, red tulips, and some green and yellowy filler with a name I don't remember (sorry). I love Whole Food's 3 bunches for $12 deal!
My green plates aren't looking very green in these pictures. I promise they match!
I picked up a tube of eight ornaments at Target (for $5) and tied one to each place card.
I got the trivet at my office holiday gift exchange. Could it be anymore perfect? It came from here.
