Having the party in the park was a breeze. The kids didn't get bored and clean up was a snap. To keep our grown guests happy we served fruit salad, quiche, and mimosas. How have you gotten crafty for a kid's birthday celebration? Send me your pics and I'll share them with my readers.

Choo! Choo! Somebody's 2!
This past weekend we celebrated our son's second birthday at our favorite park. I didn't go all out this year with the favors and decorations, but that doesn't mean I didn't get a little crafty. Elliot loves trains so I drew on that for inspiration. I made a table cloth out of 3 yards of Thomas fabric that I found at Walmart; I used scrap booking paper and craft sticks to make cupcake toppers that spelled out "Elliot's 2" and a few that looked like trains; I put together train themed goody bags, and made Elliot a special shirt using left over Thomas fabric.
