To Flock or Not to Flock

House hunting this weekend was an adventure. We saw a couple of overpriced great houses, lots of overpriced mediocre houses, and one almost appropriately priced fixer upper. I am leaning towards the fixer upper, but am not sold just yet as it will take a LOT of work. The house is straight out of the 50s with a few updates from the 60s and 70s. One such "update" was the wall covering in the game room, red velvet flocked wall paper.

This "funky" room got me thinking about flocking. Its been around for a long time and seems to have made a bit of a comeback. I'm not advocating for fully flocked spaces, but if done well I think it can be quite chic.

Better Browns, I think you need a pink flocked closet/dressing room.

Sorry, it is just too dated for me! Just the idea of it creeps me out...I have removed too many layers of it! lol I know you don't need my opinion but I just had to laugh when I saw that pool room. Doing a fix-r-upper can be a lot of fun but if you have to live in it...oh, that can be frustrating. Good luck on your hunt.
