I came up with paper lanterns (actually I wouldn’t really call them lanterns because they don’t light up). I guess mobile would be a more appropriate term, and I suppose you could also fashion them into a garland. I really wish I had made these sooner! I think my son would have loved looking up at them when he was a baby. When he saw them tonight he just kept shouting "Mommy ball, mine!"
To create your own you’ll need:
- Lots of cards (if you don’t have lots of cards you could mix in some other fun patterns using scrapbooking paper)
- A circle paper cutter (20 circles per ball)
- A bone folder
- Hot glue gun
- A single hole punch
- Ribbon
- Thread
- A dowel (to hang balls from if you choose to make a mobile)

What a great idea! I just went through Elias's cards and wondered the same thing, but of course was hesitant to get rid of any. I'm definitely putting this on the to do list - thank you!
